When you are needing flowers to be delivered call a florist direct. It’s easy to find them these days, Google the word florist, put in the city and state and there you will find all the info you need to contact a florist directly. By calling the actual florist you will most of the time be able to speak with a designer directly. This can be alot of help when not knowing what to send and what type of flowers are available with the florist for that day. What vases might be available and perhaps to just give you some good ole fashion customer service. Of couse these days we all stay very busy and not much time to take care of things one on one. Many florist have their own website and this makes it easy to view and select an actual arrangement and make the purchase without picking up the phone. But if you must be careful when ordering from wire services like FTD, 1800 Flowers, Teleflora and all the other order gatherers that are out there. The reason I say this is because they are not the actual owners of the florists they send these orders to. They do not design the flowers and deliver them. They have no idea if the florist can even deliver what you may have ordered from their site or by phone. There is so much competition between these wire service companies that they are always offering flowers on sale perhaps with no delivery or service fee, anything to entice you to buy from them. When you purchase from one of these wire service companies they will than send the order to a private owned florist in that city having no idea if that florist can actually fulfill the order. Many things play into the actaul florist accepting or denying the order like can the arrangement be done for 28% – 30% less than what you actaully paid because this is the percentage of your money they will keep. Also why pay a service fee that can be upward of $15.00 just for using their service. This percentage of money they keep can make it very difficult for an actual florist to design flowers to match the picture of some design you may have found on their website. Also the flowers may not even be available for that design. By then your order has been passed from florist to florist, them trying to find someone to fulfill your order and by now its 5pm and the order has never been delivered. But if you call directly or order from an actual florist website 99% of the time your order will be fulfilled in a timely manner. Why not put all your money into the gift your sending!
